Bio-Images Research

About the company

Bio-Images Research Ltd., a leader and at the forefront of innovation in gamma scintigraphy, undertakes early phase clinical studies to streamline drug development processes and assist decision making.

Bio-Images Research Ltd was founded in October 2000 as a spin out company from the Universities of Strathclyde and Glasgow. Bio-Images undertakes early phase clinical studies in volunteers and patient groups, specialising in gamma scintigraphy. This non-invasive imaging technique is used to monitor oral, nasal, pulmonary and ophthalmic systems.  Oral site-specific drug absorption studies are also performed using the imaGIT capsule.  All studies are fully compliant with ICH-GCP guidelines with all clinical trial supplies manufactured in our in-house GMP facility.

Why use Bio-Images?

Specialist imaging techniques allow monitoring of the in vivo characteristics and behaviour of drug formulations. Accurate scintigraphic information both alone, and in combination with pharmacokinetics, will assist the pharmaceutical company in drug development decision making, including the development of new formulations as well as re-formulation of existing products, and marketing. The correct decision made at an early stage will ultimately save your company time and money.  From final protocol design to issue of the clinical report, a drug delivery study can take as little as twelve weeks.
